At Smucker Laser Cutting & Metal Fabrication, we created fire pit tools for consumer applications by utilizing our engineering and laser capabilities. Overall part dimensions were 30 inches and the material used is 0.1875 HR steel with mill finish. These 3 piece fire pit tools are long enough to work a large fire from a safe distance along with ease of transporting.
1000 pieces were delivered to the client’s facility in Philadelphia with a turnaround time of 3 weeks. This project demonstrates our ability to quickly produce high-volume parts with our high-speed lasers. We had received positive feedback from a client as we have become one of their top customers due to our service. As a result of our service, we were one of the client’s top customers and we had received excellent feedback from them.
The challenge we faced in finishing this job was the customer’s request for a bevel on the end which required extensive research to find the correct machine to make that happen.
